Shpongle
Shpongle
Simon Posford and Raja Ram are Shpongle, a psychedelic ambient project formed in 1996 after they met at Butterfly Studios in Brixton, South London. Simon was working on Purple Om and Raja Ram was working with Graham Wood on The Infinity Project. The two went to the Glastonbury festival and decided to write something downtempo after their experience and Shpongle was born.

The Shpongle sound is a mix of mainly eastern ethnic samples and western contemporary psychedelic synth music. Posford is responsible for the synth and studio work while Raja Ram contributes with flute arrangements and creative sensibilities.
Keys N Krates
Keys N Krates
Electronic band from Toronto, Canada. The band consists of Adam Tune (drummer), David Matisse (synthesizer/keyboardist), and Jr. Flo (turntablist).
Liquid Stranger
Liquid Stranger
In an ever-evolving universe, the art of maintaining complete and total fluidity is the most necessary key for survival. Renowned for his metamorphic capabilities and expertly crafted sonic adventures, Liquid Stranger has mastered his ability to slip in and out of genres all while honing his own personal style.
Liquid Stranger has earned his reputation for exuding incommensurable talent and taking audiences on a soul-stirring aural journey of genre-bending beats on the dancefloor. He has performed at some of the most innovative events and festivals around the globe including: Shambhala, Bella Terra, Escape from Wonderland, EDC Orlando, Summer Camp, Paradiso Festival, Beyond Wonderland, Shambhala, Inox Park, SXSW, Enchanted Forrest, Elements Festival, Infrasound Equinox, EDC Las Vegas, etc.
In his latest installment, Nomad Vol 2, Liquid Stranger seamlessly blends three tunes- Bounce, Freefall & Zenith- that radiate aqueous harmony, are dripping in luxurious bass and topped off with a splash of funk. The Nomad Series in itself is an excellent representation of Liquid Stranger as an artist as it was created purposefully to push the envelope of genres and create something that could easily satisfy the likes of anyone listening. In accordance to Liquid Stranger himself, "I travel a lot and go through phases of living a somewhat nomadic life style." He goes on further to explain how much of his inspiration is drawn from these journeys, "and the Nomad series is about taking all these influences and blending them into one sonic stew."
Liquid Stranger is no alien to the Beatport charts, and has held the #1 spot on numerous occasions and in several different genres including: dubstep, reggae and drum & bass. Over the course of six full-length albums, countless EPS and a plethora of single releases, he's yielded worldwide hits as diverse as "Ripple" and "Bombaclaad Star", which reigned supreme as the #1 reggae track of 2011. "Shake My Ass" dominated the drum'n'bass chart at #1, while his third album Private Riot has become a timeless dubstep classic, solidifying him as a force to be reckon with.
In 2015, Liquid Stranger continues to transcend musical dimensions by curating thought- provoking harmonies. This year he has also brought us Wakaan, a label pioneered by Liquid Stranger himself. With the new label he has given free-form compositions and artists a place to thrive. However, what's next to come is simply unforeseen, as he is a jack-of-all-trades. But one thing is for certain, whatever he brings to the table will be produced mindfully and masterfully to the highest artistic standard.
Those who are unfamiliar with his music often tend to categorize him as only a heavy dubstep artist, which is anything but the truth. The most effervescent quality of Liquid Stranger is his ability to shift from genre to genre all while maintaining a sense of smoothness and consistency, which in turn makes him one of the most unpredictable artists to date. In a sense, he has ended genre barriers for the sake of musical storytelling taking whatever sounds he needs to put forward the intended vibe.
Liquid Stranger's omnifarious approach to music has led him to stand out amongst a pack of artists desperately trying conform to a commercial demand. Proven to be a timeless staple to the world of electronic dance music by bridging the gap between mellow and heavy, what's next can not be foreseen for this contrastive musician.
Nightmares On Wax
Nightmares On Wax
The longest serving artist on the Warp Records roster. Originally founded in 1988 by George "DJ E.A.S.E." Evelyn and Kevin "Boywonder" Harper. Harper left before the release of Smokers Delight. When playing live they were also joined by MC Toz 180 and guitarist Chris Dawkins.
Thriftworks
Thriftworks
Now based in Berkeley, California, Electronic music producer Thriftworks (real name Jake Atlas) has been producing music since he was sixteen. With his eclectic mix of erratic, wavering samples and deep bass, Thriftworks has crafted a very unique and dynamic sound that, album after album, proves to be as versatile as the artist himself. Blurring the lines between Hip-Hop and a more psychedelic sound, he can create interesting, unexpected works incorporating melodic, calmer tones as well as hard-hitting, lively rhythms.
EOTO
EOTO
The way music is produced and performed is growing at an astounding rate. From the roots of acoustic music to amped up rock n’ roll and into the electronic revolution, the options available to the modern musician are more like a scientific lab, then the campfire jam from where it all started. From the controls of a tiny laptop, a performer now has the power to mix, change and loop sounds in a concert setting with great ease. This modern twist of technology is bringing a new level of music to the electronic dance party.

While the genre of live electronica is relatively new on the music circuit, nobody is breaking the boundaries of live producing and improvisation like EOTO. Fusing elements of live instrumentation, house music, dubstep and electro into their dance ready sound, the band will be taking the country by storm beginning in late September for their perennial fall tour, performing 33 consecutive nights in a row.

Consisting of Michael Travis and Jason Hann the duo mixes the organic sounds of live drums, bass and guitar through a variety of programs and gadgets to create a style of music that is more likely found in a dance club, then a live music theater. What sets EOTO apart from other artists in this emerging genre is how the music is created. While some artists may spend hours pre-mixing samples and elements of music for their live show, EOTO uses nothing pre-recorded, giving them the ability to approach each song with on-the-spot spontaneity and 100% live improvisation.

Because of the ever-changing sound and style of music, it’s hard to describe a band like EOTO. In a recent discussion on the bands highly active Facebook page, the thousands of subscribed fans were asked to describe the band in their own words – descriptions ranged from mythical to visual, each in awe of the duo’s ability to create high octane dance music in a live setting. A trait that has fans old and new catching multiple shows on a tour and packing venues wherever they play. Or maybe EOTO is selling out venues around the coast for the spirit of dance music they bring in general.

It should come as no surprise that the members of EOTO have performed with a range of musicians second to none. Their combined resume includes the likes of Isaac Hayes, Loreena McKinnett, Herbie Hancock, Drummers of STOMP, DJ Tequila, Les Nubians, Stanley Jordan, Les ClayPool, Joshua Redman, Arturo Sandoval, Bela Fleck, Trilok Gurtu, Charlie Hunter, Mike Marshall and Dave Grisman just to name a few.
